Prior to Broad Avenue, Karen had a long career in the financial services industry. Most notably, Karen served as a Director for Deutsche Bank and was featured as a speaker across the US and in Europe at financial services conferences and symposiums. Karen developed expertise in contract structure and the annuities industry leading to her founding and eventual sale to Morningstar of Advanced Sales & Marketing. Karen has a bachelor of arts degree from DePaul University and is a Certified Financial Planner, CFP®.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Karen serves as the Vice Chair of the Women’s Foundation of Collier County, an organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and girls through grantmaking, advocacy and education. Karen previously served as the President and a member of the board of directors for 10 years of the Crisis Center for South Suburbia in metro-Chicago, an emergency shelter for female victims of domestic abuse that provides women and children a safe space while they re-build their lives. Karen is a member of the Naples Chapter of Legatus International, an organization of Catholic business leaders, and is a parishioner at St. Williams in Naples. She and her husband reside in Old Naples.
